This is the fifth week since mom left us.  On the 04-10 we went to 大鵬湾 to fix Vivian navigation gears.  We met a neighbor and was informed that last year a thunder hit this area and hurt a lot of boats equipment around here.   The lighting rod provided by the harbor authority was not tall enough.  At that time all our boat height including the mast is more than that lighting rod.  Suddenly the puzzle why our gears were suddenly out of order last year in 2023 June was answered.

Now we know the reason, we started to tear up all the compartments and check the gears piece by piece.  That day we worked from 11 to about 15 and unless we secure other extra parts we could not do anymore.  So we pulled back to Taichung and on the highway, I checked  with amazon.com and locate the required parts.   

On 04-11 the parts we like to have was bought from 高雄 dealer, even it is higher.  I could order from amazon but it will take longer to be delivered.  I am a very impatient nature and this is what mom used to dislike, maybe?  

So, I will busy this coming week!  and scuduled to have 鰻丼(baked ell)　at 大東鰻屋 with Jimmy, JiaJia and  Qeebec 04-14 17:30.  How's about you?

It turns out the lightning rod provided by the harbor authority was not tall enough. At that time, our boat's height, including the mast, exceeded the height of the lightning rod. This revelation explains why our gears suddenly malfunctioned in June 2023.

Now that we know the reason, we started tearing apart all the compartments to check the gears piece by piece. We worked from 11 a.m. to about 3 p.m. that day, but without securing additional parts, we couldn't do any more. So, we returned to Taichung, and on the way, I checked Amazon.com to locate the required parts.

On April 11th, we purchased the parts we needed from a dealer in 高雄, even though it was more expensive. I could have ordered from Amazon, but it would have taken longer to be delivered. I have always been impatient, something mom used to dislike, perhaps?

So, I will be busy this coming week! I've scheduled to have 鰻丼 (baked eel) at 大東鰻屋 with Jimmy, JiaJia, and Qeebec on April 14th at 5:30 p.m. How about you?"
